Onsite Full Time Bio & Pharmacology & Health

  • Oversee the development and implementation of behavior support plans for individuals with challenging behaviors
  • Lead functional behavior assessments, including direct and indirect assessments
  • Conduct behavior observations, staff interviews, and document progress in clinical notes
  • Develop and implement behavior support plans using current and ethical behavior-analysis practices
  • Develop behavioral goals for IEP, Res Hab, and Day Hab plans with treatment team members
  • Create data collection systems and monitor, graph, and analyze behavior-plan data
  • Collaborate with staff regarding behavior problems and replacement behaviors
  • Provide direct care in residential or Day Hab settings to model interventions for staff
  • Respond to crisis calls and assist with behavioral emergencies
  • Attend and participate in team meetings
  • Provide supervision to BCBAs in training as assigned
  • Consult with professionals and serve as a resource to staff on psychology-related matters within competency
  • Participate in psychiatric clinics and appointments as needed
  • Utilize the Human Rights Committee for restrictive interventions as needed
  • Communicate with parents or guardians regarding participants' behavioral status and obtain approvals when needed
  • Adhere to ethical standards, Springbrook policies and procedures, and OPWDD and NYSED regulations
  • Fulfill other assigned requirements and responsibilities

Requirements

  • BCBA or NY LBA and Master's degree required
  • Must maintain certification/licensure
  • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in or knowledge of computer software and email applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Aptitude to learn additional computer software as necessary
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently and assist with lifting weights exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Meet requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required
  • Ability to perform all physical interventions
  • Ability to work on site three days per week
