Before and After School Care Part Time

Overview

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic team member to support a safe and engaging environment for children during before and after school care hours. This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, helping maintain structure, and creating a positive experience for families.

Hours would be 7:30am-9:30am and 4:15pm-6:15pm Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during before and after school care programs
n
• Support a safe, welcoming, and organized environment
n
• Lead age-appropriate activities, games, and enrichment opportunities
n
• Assist with arrival, dismissal, transitions, and daily routines
n
• Encourage positive behavior and respectful interactions
n
• Communicate effectively with families, staff, and children
n
• Follow all safety procedures, site policies, and program guidelines
n
• Help maintain clean and orderly program spaces
n

Qualifications

n
• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, recreation, or similar setting preferred
n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
• Ability to remain patient, attentive, and organized in a busy environment
n
• Reliable and punctual with the ability to work scheduled part-time hours
n
• Comfortable supervising groups of children with care and professionalism
n
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with others
n

Preferred Skills

n
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities
n
• Experience with behavior support and positive guidance techniques
n
• First aid or CPR certification
n
• Background in education, childcare, or youth programming
n
