Business Development Manager – Engineering Services

A rapidly growing engineering and industrial services organization is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager – Engineering Services to lead the expansion of its engineering consulting business across North America.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially driven professional with an established network in industrial markets who enjoys developing new business, building strategic client relationships, and selling high-value engineering solutions.
Working directly with executive leadership, you'll play a key role in growing a newly expanded Engineering Services division while leveraging the resources and reputation of an established industrial services organization.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new engineering service opportunities across industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, government, municipal, and commercial sectors.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through networking, referrals, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
- Lead client meetings, technical presentations, proposals, RFQs, and RFP responses.
- Develop long-term relationships with plant managers, engineering leaders, owner/operators, EPC firms, contractors, municipalities, and government agencies.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and technical teams to develop customized client solutions.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and support contract execution.
- Represent the company at conferences, trade associations, and customer events.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.

What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of business development, sales, or engineering experience within industrial engineering services
- Proven success selling engineering consulting services to industrial clients
- Strong relationships throughout the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Power, Mining, Manufacturing, or Heavy Industrial sectors
- Demonstrated history of winning large engineering service contracts
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience managing opportunities through CRM platforms such as Salesforce
- Willingness to travel extensively
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- MBA or Master's Degree
- Experience selling to government, municipal, or infrastructure clients
- Strong understanding of reliability engineering, asset integrity, inspection, mechanical integrity, API/ASME standards, and maintenance engineering
