We are a proud member of the Pacific Coast Building Products Family of Companies.Position SummaryUnder the supervision of the Plant Superintendent, this position supports the Plant Production in all areas of operating various production machines, verifies the machines rerunning properly and safely; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate advanced knowledge of block machine mechanics, functions, and performance indicators including but not limited to: step functions of a cycle, step times, step function adjustmentsDemonstrate ability to execute and lead others on mold changes, height changes, color changes, and general machine adjustmentsAdvanced knowledge of all aggregates and raw materials and ability to identify by visual indicatorsAdvanced knowledge of batching system, batch reporting, moisture adjustments and product mix designsDemonstrate ability to perform visual and physical product quality inspectionsVerify that all production machines are running properly and safelyContinuously observe machine during production to promote optimum product yieldMonitor loader / unloader or kiln feed system to optimize production flow and up timeMonitor cubing line to optimize production flow and up timeDemonstrate ability to training plant personnel, including Cuber, Inside Forklift Operator, Outside Forklift Operator and general laborers on equipment and operation of block machineKeep work area clean and direct production line crew on proper cleanupAccurately complete daily machine reports including but not limited to: batch reports, operator reports, down time reports, dry side reportsAbides by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies; and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and correctedQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
