BCBA-Program Supervisor

Job TitleTo provide staff development, supervision and organizational leadership for assigned program in the effective implementation of the applied behavioral analysis process; to supervise and monitor implementation of programming for positive behavioral changes; and to ensure successful relationships with partner organizations and families.Essential Core ResponsibilitiesCase Management (60%)Supervises all behavior analytic programming for assigned clients, incorporating individual and group program objectivesAdministers medication as needed, following appropriate trainingProvides individualized parent training on tactics to address goals for students at home as neededUtilizes data for use in determining further programmingCoordinates design and data collection of research projects under supervision of DirectorAdministration & Supervision (15%)Supervises and mentors staff assigned to teams, working with Human Resources to maintain appropriate staffing levelsEnsures and documents program planning and management, individual client progress and staff developmentOversees accuracy of implementation for individual Behavior Intervention PlansConducts TPRA observations with staff working with clientsDelivers staff training and other professional development as neededParticipates in development and oversees execution of expense budget for programEnsures that classroom teachers under supervision have a plan and are taking reasonable action towards (a) obtaining their provisional license, (b) obtaining their renewable license, or (c) maintaining their renewable license; whichever is applicableClient Objectives and Required Documentation (10%)Develops specific objectives for each client during initial evaluationEnsures implementation of daily activities focused on each objectiveMaintains and updates Individualized Educational/Program PlansReviews progress reports provided to parentsAssesses progress and makes changes to programs as needed in collaboration with classroom teachersCoordinates communication with necessary parties regarding timelines for required meetings, authorizations, and services funding, etc.Daily Activities (10%)Maintains daily communication with teams regarding each client and familyResponds to emergency situations as neededFollows school policy to oversee the educational administration of The Faison School in the absence of Director of Administration and/or Director of EducationPerformance Management (5%)Expectations are clear, well communicated, and relate to the goals and objectives of the programStaff receive frequent, constructive feedbackStaff have the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to accomplish goalsPerformance issues are addressed and documented as they occurSafety issues are reviewed and communicated to assure a safe and healthy workplaceRequirementsExperience RequirementsAbility to apply knowledge of adult training in the techniques of applied behavior analysisAbility to develop, manage and supervise effective programming for clients with autismSupervisory experience and excellent interpersonal skills.Knowledge of special education curriculum, applied behavior analysis and research.Previous experience with autismExperience in behavior interventionAbility to complete CPR, First Aid and human rights trainingEducation RequirementsMaster's degree in special education or related field requiredBoard Certification in Behavior Analysis required; or the ability to obtain within six months of hireSpecial education teacher licensure in Virginia preferredEssential Physical RequirementsLift 50 pounds (and keep back straight while doing so)Bend at all joints fluentlyMove in and out of and maintain a kneeling position for up to five minutesReach in all directionsGrasp using both handsMove quickly in both confined and open spaces to avoid safety issuesRun in order to retrieve an individual who is moving quickly away from staffMaintain balance while lowering to a half squat position
