Battery Manufacturing Technician - Mixing, Coating & Roll Pressing

Pay: $30-$35/hour

We are seeking a Battery Manufacturing Technician with hands-on experience in Li-ion battery production. This role will support electrode manufacturing operations, including slurry mixing, electrode coating, roll pressing (calendering), and quality verification in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor electrode manufacturing equipment, including mixing, coating, and roll pressing systems.

• Prepare and handle electrode slurries according to established process parameters.

• Perform coating quality inspections, loading verification, and process checks.

• Support electrode calendering and roll-to-roll production activities.

• Follow standard operating procedures and maintain accurate production records.

• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet quality and throughput objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience in Li-ion battery production.

• Experience with one or more of the following processes:

• Electrode slurry mixing

• Electrode coating

• Roll pressing/calendering

• Ability to follow detailed manufacturing procedures and quality standards.

• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working across multiple electrode manufacturing processes (mixing, coating, and roll pressing).

• Experience with roll-to-roll manufacturing equipment.

• Cleanroom manufacturing experience.

• Familiarity with battery cell assembly or battery production environments.

• Experience supporting pilot-line or high-volume battery manufacturing operations.

Schedule:

• Primarily 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

• Flexibility to work occasional extended shifts, including early starts (7:00 AM) or later finishes (up to 8:00 PM) one to two days per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
