Our client is seeking an experienced Battery Project Engineer, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.
What you'll be doing...
- Collaborating with a diverse team including Engineers, Project Management, and Purchasing to develop and execute strategies for achieving project milestones for new model launches.
- Coordinating new model launch activities across multiple divisions and regions, ensuring seamless integration from vehicle development through to production start.
- Solving complex problems that could impact project or launch success by coordinating cross-departmental efforts to implement solutions and prevent recurrence.
- Defining and reporting overall project KPIs and Milestones using the Battery Master Operation Plan, and standardizing outputs for KPI and Milestone reporting.
- Supporting construction activities and pre-production trial activities, including coordinating trial parts orders, schedule creation, and KPI management.
- Completing internal and external training, and supporting additional ad-hoc requests requiring cross-functional coordination.
- Managing a multifaceted workload with conflicting deadlines and priorities while communicating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree or higher, or 5+ years of equivalent professional work experience in a Project related role.
- Project management experience dealing with capital investments greater than $0.5M.
- Experience setting, managing, visualizing, and reporting KPIs, with the capability to report directly to Senior or Executive level leadership.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability for domestic and international business travel up to 10%.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shutdowns as necessary, including supporting evening meetings with international teams when required.
- Added bonus if you have experience in Toyota Supplier Management, battery or automotive manufacturing, 3 Pillar management or execution, or understanding of Gated Management or BRAD milestones and Toyota planning processes.
