BAS Systems SpecialistA systems integrator specializing in building automationBAS Systems Specialist Location: Central Massachusetts Area About the Role: We are seeking a BAS Systems Specialist to support the installation, programming, commissioning, and service of commercial building automation systems throughout the Central Massachusetts region. This role will work closely with project managers, engineers, and customers to deliver high-quality HVAC controls and systems integration solutions across a variety of commercial and institutional facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with BAS/DDC systems, controls integration, and troubleshooting complex HVAC systems in commercial environments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing controls team focused on long-term customer relationships, technical excellence, and high-performance building systems.ResponsibilitiesProgram, troubleshoot, commission, and service building automation and HVAC control systemsSupport BAS/DDC integrations involving HVAC equipment, lighting controls, and energy management systemsPerform point-to-point checkout, startup, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance activitiesInterpret mechanical drawings, control schematics, sequences of operation, and engineering documentationConfigure and troubleshoot BACnet, Modbus, and IP-based control networksSupport retrofit, upgrade, and new construction projects across commercial facilitiesProvide technical support and field service to customers throughout the regionAssist with graphics, alarms, trending, and front-end BAS configurationDocument service activity, system changes, and project updates accuratelyMaintain strong customer relationships through responsive communication and technical supportQualifications3+ years of experience with BAS/BMS, HVAC controls, or systems integrationExperience with DDC controls, field devices, controllers, and networked building systemsFamiliarity with Niagara/Tridium, Distech, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Alerton, or similar BAS platformsUnderstanding of BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP networking, and control system communication protocolsAbility to troubleshoot HVAC and controls-related issues independentlyExperience reading mechanical, electrical, and controls drawingsStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsValid driver's license requiredPreferred ExperienceCommercial HVAC systemsControls retrofits and system upgradesOpen-protocol BAS platformsCommissioning and startup activitiesHealthcare, laboratory, higher education, or commercial office environmentsJobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
