Onsite Full Time Software Architecture & Engineering

Seven Executive has partnered with a national BAS controls OEM who are looking for a BAS controls technician / engineer in Western US, (CA, WA, AZ, UT, ID, NV) to provide technical sales support to customers (system integrators, distributors, OEMs, and channel partners) within an assigned territory, with occasional support beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical sales support via phone, email, and other communication channels
  • Review project specifications and recommend suitable technical solutions
  • Assist with product selection, wiring diagrams, and submittal documentation
  • Support customers with application design, programming, and troubleshooting (including on-site visits when required)
  • Develop and document application software, graphics, and system configurations for approved projects
  • Provide standard and customised training sessions to customers
  • Collaborate on product development initiatives, feasibility studies, and field testing
  • Support new product proposals including specifications, market analysis, and pricing input
  • Act as a subject matter expert for assigned product areas
  • Deliver technical presentations and support sales teams as needed
  • Maintain CRM activity and customer engagement records
  • Represent the business at trade shows and industry events
  • Travel as required (approx. 50%)

Requirements

  • Experience in HVAC controls, building automation, or related technical field (engineering, field applications, or technical sales)
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and digital control technologies
  • Experience with Niagara AX/N4 preferred
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and develop solutions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Education & Experience

  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, HVAC Technology, Control Systems, or similar
  • Background in technical sales or application engineering preferred
  • Experience working with HVAC control systems and digital platforms

  • Strong mathematical and reasoning skills
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and data

Working Conditions

  • Mix of office and on-site environments
  • Occasional exposure to mechanical systems and moderate noise
  • Physical requirements include light lifting and extended periods of sitting/standing
