Data EngineerLocation: Bartlesville, OK (onsite at 74003)Duration: 12 MonthsThe Data Engineer will play a key role in contributing to the success of machine learning and artificial intelligence projects across the company, by partnering with respective business owners and leveraging data to identify areas of improvement & optimization. The employee will build deliverables like business process automation, equipment health monitoring tools, demand forecasting models, prescriptive energy optimization systems etc. that provide edge to business decision making and can scale with growth.
The role sits in the sweet spot between technology and business worlds and provides opportunity for growth, high business impact and working with seasoned business leaders.Responsibilities May Include:Creating systems for storing, extracting, transferring, loading, and modeling data to be used for both production systems and machine learning projects.Implementing data engineering systems in Microsoft Azure, AWS, Hana, and other systems, including open-source data science tools to meet the needs of our internal customers.Building end-to-end solutions to solve high value business needs in a sustainable, innovative manner.Engaging in constant process improvement, always looking for opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce failures.Basic/Required Qualifications:Legally authorized to work in the job posting countryBachelor’s degree or higher in a computer related field, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, the physical sciences5 or more years relevant work experience in software developmentAble to understand the diverse business requirements and be able to translate those requirements into applicable solutionsComputer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, etc.Advanced proficiency in coding for analytics, encompassing both batch and real-time data processingExpert proficiency in at least, one modern programming language such as SQL, R, Java, Scala, or PythonWorking knowledge of visualization toolsKnowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principlesKnowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computingPreferred Qualifications:7 or more years relevant work experience in software development2 or more years of experience in a non-IT role in the Oil & Gas IndustryKnowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including Agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operationsExperience optimizing relational SQL, nosql, and code for performance, reusability, and cost-effectivenessExperience working with DatabricksExperience working with PowerBIExperience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWSStrong client focus and management of client expectationsExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent teamwork skillsAbility to present and explain technical information to diverse audiencesAbility to write clear proposals and technical documentsNeeds experience with ADF, Azure/Lambda Functions, cloud native database technologies (AzureSQL, Postgress, etc)Please note this is a 100% onsite role.
