Moon Rabbit is seeking experienced, knowledgeable, and hospitality-driven Bartenders to join our team.
Moon Rabbit is a Vietnamese restaurant situated in the heart of Washington D.C., drawing inspiration from the virtuous rabbit depicted in the Buddhist Jataka tale. Led by acclaimed Chef Kevin Tien, the restaurant embodies an innovative approach to Vietnamese cuisine, showcasing a menu that is both unique and complex. Chef Tien's objective is to pay tribute to his heritage as a first-generation Asian American, using Moon Rabbit as a platform for expressing his love for Vietnamese culture and food.

Responsibilities
- Provide warm, gracious, and personalized service to every guest, whether seated at the bar or throughout the dining room
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency, precision, and efficiency
- Develop a deep understanding of Moon Rabbit's cuisine, ingredients, culinary philosophy, wine program, cocktail offerings, and beverage pairings
- Confidently guide guests through the beverage menu and make thoughtful recommendations tailored to their preferences
- Execute all aspects of bar service with professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar while upholding the highest standards of sanitation and presentation
- Collaborate closely with the culinary and service teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Contribute to the ongoing maintenance, organization, and evolution of our award-winning beverage program
- Consistently uphold Moon Rabbit's standards of hospitality, professionalism, and service excellence
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience in a fine dining or hospitality-driven restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and beverage service
- Passion for craft cocktails, wine, and hospitality with a desire to continually expand your knowledge
- Ability to confidently learn and communicate complex menu offerings and beverage pairings
- Experience with Toast POS preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and team-first mentality
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
