Butterworth’s is seeking an experienced, personable bartender to join our team in Washington, D.C. We’re looking for someone who brings strong hospitality, consistency, and a polished service style to a fast-paced neighborhood restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with speed and accuracy.
Provide warm, attentive service to guests at the bar and throughout service.
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar.
Follow all opening, closing, and side-work procedures.
Handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
Communicate clearly with servers, hosts, managers, and kitchen staff.
Uphold Butterworth’s standards for professionalism, hospitality, and guest experience.
Qualifications
Previous bartending experience in a full-service restaurant or bar.
Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
Excellent guest service and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while staying detail-oriented.
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift/carry bar supplies as needed.
