Bartender

CARLA is a brand-new Adams Morgan neighborhood bar centered around great drinks, globally inspired shareable food—think skewers, bao, and approachable bar bites—great music, and genuine hospitality.

We’re growing our team and looking for experienced, dependable, high-energy bartenders.

As a neighborhood hangout, our bartenders are the heart of the business. We’re seeking warm, hospitable professionals who enjoy both the craft of bartending and connecting with neighbors. We host DJs and live bands three nights a week, so an appreciation for a lively, music-filled atmosphere is a plus.

• Prepare classic and house cocktails with care, consistency, and speed.

• Maintain a working knowledge of our cocktail, beer, wine, spirits, and food offerings.

• Create a welcoming experience through attentive, genuine hospitality.

• Keep the bar clean, organized, stocked, and compliant with health and safety standards.

• Work closely with fellow bartenders and bar leadership to keep service running smoothly.

• Preferably two or more years of bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant or lively bar.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a willingness to follow guidance from bar leadership.

• Comfort standing and moving throughout a full shift.

• Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 20 pounds, including glassware racks, bus tubs, and ice buckets.

• Dependability and enthusiasm for helping shape the culture of a new neighborhood spot.
