Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bartender to join our high-end Mexican cocktail bar. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an upscale, high-energy environment and is deeply knowledgeable about both craft cocktails and elevated Mexican cuisine. You will play a key role in delivering a refined, memorable guest experience through exceptional beverage execution and informed food pairing recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve craft cocktails with precision, focusing on tequila, mezcal, and agave-based spirits
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on both beverages and food items, including thoughtful food and cocktail pairings
- Maintain a deep understanding of Mexican cuisine, ingredients, and regional influences
- Engage guests with professionalism, hospitality, and attention to detail
- Ensure bar setup, cleanliness, and organization meet high-end service standards
- Monitor inventory, prep fresh ingredients, and maintain bar stock
- Work collaboratively with beverage director and General Manager to ensure seamless guest experience
- Uphold all health, safety, and responsible alcohol service guidelines
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of bartending experience in an upscale or craft cocktail environment
- Strong knowledge of tequila, mezcal, and agave spirits (certifications a plus)
- Extensive food knowledge, particularly Mexican cuisine, with the ability to explain dishes, ingredients, and pairings confidently
- Passion for hospitality and delivering elevated guest experiences
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in fine dining or high-end bar programs
- Familiarity with regional Mexican dishes, flavor profiles, and seasonal ingredients
- Previous experience collaborating closely with kitchen teams
