FRENA is looking for an experienced, charismatic, and genuinely engaging Bartender to join our team.

We are looking for more than someone who can make great drinks.

The right bartender understands that the bar is one of the most important stages in the restaurant. You should have a naturally warm, upbeat personality, enjoy connecting with guests, and understand how to create the kind of experience that turns a first-time visitor into a regular.

A genuine interest in cocktails, spirits, and wine is essential. You don't need to know everything—we value curiosity and the desire to continue learning—but you should care deeply about your craft and be excited to talk about what you're pouring.

• Warm, energetic, outgoing, and naturally hospitable
• Strong cocktail fundamentals and proper bar technique
• Genuine interest in wine, spirits, and cocktail culture
• Comfortable engaging guests and creating energy at the bar
• Able to read the room and adapt your style to different guests
• Polished and professional while still allowing personality to come through
• Organized, clean, efficient, and composed during high-volume service
• Strong understanding of responsible alcohol service
• Team-oriented and willing to support the larger restaurant operation
• Interested in continuing to develop their beverage knowledge
• NYC upscale or high-volume restaurant/bar experience strongly preferred

We're particularly interested in bartenders who understand the importance of relationship-driven hospitality.

Candidates who have developed—or have demonstrated the ability to develop—a following of regular guests are highly desirable. You should enjoy remembering names, preferences, favorite drinks, and the small details that create loyalty.

An established following is certainly welcomed, but what's more important is having the personality and hospitality instincts to build one.

Technical ability can be developed.

Personality, genuine hospitality, curiosity, and the desire to connect with people are much harder to teach.

We're looking for someone who can make an excellent cocktail, confidently recommend a bottle of wine, create energy across the bar, and make guests want to come back because they enjoyed spending time with you.
