Position OverviewAs the Bartender, you are responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience through genuine hospitality, expert beverage knowledge, and attentive service. You will prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient bar. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a genuine passion for hospitality. Responsibilities- Welcome guests at the bar with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to One40 Rooftop standards.
- Have strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, spirits, wine, beer, and beverage offerings.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and answer guest questions regarding beverages and menu items.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of all current food and beverage menus, including ingredients and potential allergens.
- Deliver attentive, personalized service while anticipating guest needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar throughout each shift.
- Follow all recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards consistently.
- Ensure all bar equipment, glassware, tools, and supplies are properly maintained and organized.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock items and product needs to management.
- Assist with opening and closing bar duties, including proper storage, cleaning, and restocking.
- Process guest checks and payments accurately using Toast POS.
- Communicate effectively with managers, servers, hosts, and kitchen staff regarding guest needs and service.
- Maintain awareness of responsible alcohol service standards and follow all applicable laws and company policies.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and notify management when necessary.
- Support the front-of-house team during busy service periods.
- Maintain a positive attitude and represent One40 Rooftop with professionalism at all times.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Bartender or in a comparable guest-facing hospitality role.
- Required proficiency with Toast POS.
- Strong knowledge of classic and modern cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain composed in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and polished demeanor.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Experience in upscale casual, fine dining, rooftop, or luxury hospitality.
- Strong understanding of restaurant and bar operations.
- Experience working with craft cocktails and seasonal beverage programs.
