Bartender

The Wilkes Restaurant & Bar, in the Brentwood Village enclave of Los Angeles, offers elevated comfort food classics. Dinner service begins daily at 5 p.m. No lunch service. We are currently closed Sundays. 
Responsibilities:

• Provide high quality service
• Mix and serve consistent, measured drinks following house recipes
• Take orders using Toast handheld POS 
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and team
• Carry out all tasks with attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety
• Assist with inventory control, prepping syrups and batches
• Maintain standards for self and co-workers
• Food, wine, liquor and menu knowledge a must

Qualifications for Bartender

• 3 years of experience in a bar or similar environment
• Enthusiasm for interacting with guests, hospitality, and building regulars
• Must be 21 years of age
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Be able to consistently lift 30-40lbs
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and mixed cocktails
• Desire to learn about a robust wine & spirits list
• Ability to memorize recipes and information
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to serve alcohol responsibly, check ID's consistently, and potentially handle intoxicated guests
• Ability to manage stress with grace, and to keep an upbeat attitude when busy
• Leadership qualities to help maintain standards across staff

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic bartenders with knowledge of wine and spirits. The ideal candidate maintains a calm demeanor under pressure, has a passion for wine and cocktails, and is eager to expand their knowledge base.
