As a Bartender, you will welcome owners and guests, explain specials, answer questions and provide recommendations that enhance their experience. You will take and accurately enter food and beverage orders, serve items, process payments and maintain strong product and menu knowledge. By checking back with guests, responding to their needs and maintaining a clean service area, you will help create a welcoming environment throughout each shift.
What you’ll do
- Welcome guests, explain specials, answer questions and recommend food and beverage products.
- Take and accurately enter orders using point-of-sale computers while coordinating timing for service.
- Serve food and beverages while checking back regularly to support guest satisfaction.
- Process payments accurately, prepare itemized checks, collect cash and provide change.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest needs or service concerns.
- Pre-bus tables by removing used dishes, utensils, glasses and trash throughout service.
- Complete assigned pre-shift and post-shift side work as directed by the manager.
What you’ll bring
- Customer service and/or food and beverage service experience.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Strong guest relations skills and the ability to answer guest inquiries.
- Ability to learn cash-handling procedures and use point-of-sale computers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Comprehensive menu knowledge and the ability to recommend and upsell items.
- Serve Safe, TIPS or other applicable state alcohol certification, or the ability to obtain required certification through HICV.
It’s a plus if you have
- A high school diploma or GED.
