Santa Panza is an established 10 year old neighborhood Italian restaurant with wood-fired pizza, small plates, and a bar.
Looking to hire someone for 3-4 shifts behind the bar with the possibility of cross-training as a server.
We are looking for hardworking and hospitable additions to our team.
We are currently open for dinner service every day from 5:00-10:00pm and will soon be open for brunch on weekends 10-3:30pm.
Qualified candidates should meet the following criteria:
- 2 years of New York City restaurant experience (at least one year high-volume bartending experience)
- Strong general knowledge of food and food preparation (experience with Italian cuisine preferred)
- Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays, etc.)
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Familiar with at least one POS (Toast preferred)
- Able to take direction well from both restaurant managers and the Chef
- Strong communication skills and solid team work
Job Duties Include:
- Full bar knowledge, proper measuring and basic cocktail history.
- Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests.
- Prepare items needed for the day in the beginning/during and at the end of each shift.
- Maintain clean service areas.
- Monitor and observe guests dining experience.
- Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow co-workers as situations arise.
- Willing to assist with clearing and resetting tables.
