Overview
A law firm seeks a 4th Year Bankruptcy Litigation Associate to join its Los Angeles, California office. This position is ideal for a litigator with at least three years of bankruptcy litigation experience and a strong understanding of the Bankruptcy Code.
Duties
- Collaborate on complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court workouts.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and pleadings on bankruptcy issues.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and stakeholders professionally.
- Stay informed on legal developments and industry trends in bankruptcy law.
- Attend bankruptcy court hearings.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Admission to the New York or California State Bar.
- 3+ years of commercial litigation and bankruptcy experience.
- Proven track record with outstanding legal writing skills.
- Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
