Our client. is seeking a Bankruptcy & Commercial Restructuring Associate with 3-5 years of experience in bankruptcy, loan workouts, commercial restructuring, or related commercial litigation to join our growing Corporate Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice Group in Houston.

Responsibilities
- Represent lenders, secured and unsecured creditors, and business clients in bankruptcy, restructuring, and insolvency matters.
- Handle commercial loan workouts, restructurings, default resolutions, collections, and related litigation.
- Draft and negotiate workout agreements, forbearance agreements, restructuring documents, and other transaction-related materials.
- Represent clients in federal and state court proceedings, including bankruptcy court litigation.
- Analyze complex financial and commercial issues to develop practical legal strategies for clients.
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices on sophisticated restructuring and insolvency matters.
- Maintain regular client communication while managing multiple matters efficiently and effectively.
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
- 3-5 years of experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, loan workouts, commercial litigation, or a related practice area.
- Experience representing lenders, creditors, financial institutions, or commercial borrowers is preferred.
- Knowledge of CMBS transactions (including special servicing), commercial lending, real estate, maritime, or energy law is a plus.
- Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, organizational, and advocacy skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced practice.
- Demonstrated sound judgment, professionalism, and commitment to client service.
- Active license to practice law in Texas is required.
