Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Banking and Financial Services Associate in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in structured finance transactions and securitizations. Candidates must be licensed to practice in their home jurisdiction or be eligible for admission.
Duties
- Represent financial institutions, asset managers, and issuers in structured finance transactions and securitizations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents for asset-backed securities issuances and other structured finance arrangements.
- Prepare, negotiate, review, and analyze transactional legal opinions.
- Support the team throughout all phases of complex structured finance transactions.
Requirements
- Experience with CLO transactions and related special purpose entity matters.
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to thrive in a fast-pace transactional practice.
- Detail-oriented and organized with a strong work ethic.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications
- Licensed to practice law in home jurisdiction or eligible for admission.
