Bank Reconciliation AnalystJersey City, NJ – OnsitePay Rate: $28.57/hr W2Duration: 6 Months with Possible ExtensionPosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Bank Reconciliation Analyst to support daily reconciliation and reporting activities within a fast-paced financial operations environment. This role focuses on performing bank reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, monitoring aged reconciling items, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience handling reconciliation processes in a banking or financial services environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily bank reconciliations by comparing bank statements against source systems and internal recordsIdentify, investigate, and resolve reconciliation and reporting discrepancies in a timely mannerPrepare monthly aging reports for outstanding reconciling itemsMonitor aged reconciling items exceeding established thresholds and escalate unresolved items to management according to escalation proceduresCoordinate with internal departments and stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and outstanding issuesEnsure reconciliation activities and reporting are completed in accordance with internal policies, procedures, and audit requirementsMaintain accurate reconciliation documentation and supporting records for audit and examination purposesSupport operational controls and risk mitigation processes related to reconciliation activitiesRequired QualificationsExperience performing bank reconciliations or financial reconciliationsStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsAbility to identify and resolve discrepancies efficientlyExperience preparing reconciliation and aging reportsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environmentStrong communication and collaboration skillsPreferred QualificationsBanking or financial services industry experienceExperience working with reconciliation systems and financial reporting toolsKnowledge of operational controls, audit support, and compliance proceduresProficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting functionsWork EnvironmentFully onsite role in Jersey City, NJFast-paced operations and finance environmentCollaborative team setting with interaction across multiple departments
