Broken Tart Bakery hiring an experienced baker!  

ABOUT THE BAKER  POSITION
We are looking for a skilled Baker to join our team. Adding a new position to our team requiring a PM prep shift to help support our busy bakery. 
As our Baker , we’ll look to you to work alongside our kitchen team to keep daily bakery operations running smoothly. Daily tasks include prepping and baking off daily pastries including cookies, biscuits, scones, cakes, buttercreams, curds, fillings, doughs,  finishing and decorating cakes and pastries, assisting with ingredient inventory, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and contributing to our menu development & maintenance. 

Early hours, evening hours and open flexibility is mandatory for this position.
Skills and qualities we expect you’ll bring to the table:

• Genuine excitement for baking, pastry, and the hospitality space
• 1+ years of experience in a commercial bakery or restaurant
• An eye for detail
• Highly motivated and excels at independent work
• High levels of cleanliness and organization
• Ability to multitask and think on your feet
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Great communication skills
• Creativity (lots of it)
• Flexibility (lots of this, too!)
• A commitment to kindness, curiosity, and leaving things a little bit better than you found it

Other very important details:

• Role Type: Part-Time, 2-3 shifts a week
• 1 PM Solo Prep Shift weekly
• Sunday Availability Required
• Starting Rate: $18/hour based on experience
