We will be quick to respond to our customers and use "Red Truck Service" when additional assistance is needed.Work ExperienceDuties/Responsibilities:Serve customers in the Bakery Department while modeling Sendik's culture and providing "best in class" customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their businessPrepare, proof and bake products for the bakery case and sales floor including, but not limited to, breads, rolls, donuts and muffins, while ensuring quality of product meets company standardsApply toppings such as icing, glaze and seeds to baked productsMeasure and mix ingredients in accordance with recipesDevelop and follow a daily production schedule to ensure the department is prepared for the following dayTrack department inventory to ensure the correct quantity and variety of product is bakedOperate, maintain and clean baking equipment including ovens, proofers, knives and mixersAssist Department Manager in preparing and placing ordersPackage and price various bakery itemsOrganize and store bakery supplies in designated areasAssist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the Bakery DepartmentMaintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and proceduresAssist with all other Bakery Department duties as neededQualifications:Must be a minimum of 18 years of age due to required operation of Bakery equipmentPrior baking experience preferredExcellent time management, prioritization and organization skillsExcellent attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work at a fast paced and efficient mannerAbility to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressureStrong team player attitude – ability to anticipate the needs of the teamAbility to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under limited supervisionAbility to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 50 pounds
