Role Overview
Build scalable Java backend systems while contributing real-world technical expertise that helps improve next-generation AI systems. This remote contract role focuses on high-quality engineering input that supports how AI models learn, reason, and perform. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
- Architect robust microservices solutions for complex application requirements.
- Collaborate remotely with the customer team to review technical specifications and deliver high-quality code.
- Provide technical insight to improve application performance, reliability, and security.
- Participate in code reviews and offer constructive peer feedback.
- Document technical processes and solutions clearly and concisely.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems.
Qualifications
- Expert-level Java programming proficiency.
- Hands-on backend development experience with Spring Boot.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design principles.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with close attention to detail.
- Experience collaborating with remote teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid knowledge of REST APIs, data structures, and backend development best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with AI-driven or data-intensive projects.
- Background working with high-availability or distributed systems.
Work Terms
- Remote contract engagement.
Compensation
- $60 to $110 per hour.
