Azure Software DeveloperThe Azure Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable and secure applications within the Azure ecosystem. This role requires a strong background in full-stack development, cloud-native design, and software engineering best practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across multiple programming languages, frameworks, and DevOps environments, with a focus on delivering high-performance and reliable enterprise applications.This individual will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
They will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Solution Architects, DevOps Engineers, QA Engineers, Project Managers, and Security Engineers to ensure solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based applications and microservices using Azure technologies and modern software frameworksBuild, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs and service integrationsDevelop applications using Python, Node.js,.NET Core, and the.NET Framework across multiple layers of the stackImplement secure, scalable data models leveraging CosmosDB, SQL, and other Azure data servicesParticipate in all phases of the SDLC including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and production supportCollaborate with DevOps to integrate CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub Enterprise (GHE)Utilize GitHub Copilot responsibly to accelerate development while maintaining accountability for all generated codeWrite and maintain comprehensive unit tests, perform code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standardsTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and system issues across multiple environmentsContribute to the modernization of existing applications by refactoring legacy components for cloud readinessCollaborate with architects and project managers to translate business requirements into technical solutionsEnsure compliance with enterprise security and data governance standards in all application design and deployment activitiesProduce and maintain technical documentation including design diagrams, deployment procedures, and support guidesRequired Skills and Experience:5 to 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years focused on Azure-based environmentsStrong proficiency in.NET Core,.NET Framework, Python, and Node.jsHands-on experience building and consuming REST APIs and developing microservicesExperience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSSDeep understanding of Azure services including App Services, Functions, CosmosDB, Azure SQL, and Azure StorageFamiliarity with CI/CD tools and processes using Azure DevOps and GitHub EnterpriseSolid understanding of software design patterns, system architecture, and security best practicesExperience in developing and executing unit and integration testsWorking knowledge of Agile and Waterfall software development methodologiesStrong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilities within cross-functional teams
