Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support a high-performance cloud infrastructure environment for a leading hedge fund in New York. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Python , and will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure to support critical trading and analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS-based cloud infrastructure for high-availability applications
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Build automation and operational tooling using Python scripting
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability, implementing proactive improvements
• Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Improve observability using monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks
• Collaborate with development, data engineering, and trading technology teams to ensure reliable platform operations

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience deploying and managing applications with Kubernetes (K8s)
• Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
• Strong scripting experience using Python
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and distributed systems

• Experience working in financial services, trading platforms, or hedge fund environments
• Experience with container orchestration, observability tools, and infrastructure monitoring
• Familiarity with Linux systems administration and performance tuning
