Mid Level AWS DevOps Engineer

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level AWS DevOps Engineer to join our technology team and support the design, automation, deployment, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and application environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, containers, monitoring, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and highly available infrastructure on AWS.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application build, testing, and deployment.
- Manage AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda, and EKS.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Automate infrastructure, deployment, and operational processes using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilization using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Implement cloud security, access controls, backup strategies, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking, and application-related issues.
- Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with development and engineering teams to improve application reliability and deployment processes.
- Maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, deployments, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools.
- Practical experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Proficiency in scripting with Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator certification.
- Experience with AWS EKS, ECS, Lambda, RDS, and serverless architectures.
- Knowledge of Ansible or other configuration-management tools.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar observability platforms.
- Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and cloud cost-optimization strategies.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
