DevOps EngineerThis team owns a data platform that communicates with US Bank’s online banking & exposes data like account balances, credit card balances, etc. This is business critical data/functionality, so any changes to the applications/configurations need to be done in a way that can maintain operations and limit disruption to users. There is an audit of their platform going on that is uncovering some security risks that need to be addressed within the Cassandra DB.
Additionally, they are migrating from on-prem to Azure – planning to have this complete by Q2 of 2026. Also considering migrating to Yugabyte.Responsibilities:Developing & automating CI/CD pipelinesAnsible & AWX – “operational” automation (updating configurations, executing DB backups, etc.)Jenkins & Terraform – infrastructure provisioning (deployments, provisioning new Cassandra clusters, etc.)Observability/monitoring alerts using Prometheus & GrafanaMust Haves:Python for pipeline automationAnsible, Jenkins, TerraformExperience deploying to cloud, ideally to Azure but open to othersPrometheus & GrafanaExperience working within DB (Cassandra would be a huge plus) – ability to create alerts & dashboards for incidents, knowing how to read DB metrics, etc.
