Leading the strategic vision for AWS Cloud services, the full-time salaried AWS Cloud Engineering Director will manage the implementation of cloud platforms, enhance customer experience, and collaborate across various engineering teams to optimize infrastructure and costs. Key responsibilities Lead the AWS platform engineering team to enhance the Amex EKS Platform and enable AWS native services Partner with security, architecture, and application teams to define and implement cloud best practices Continuously evaluate and optimize cloud infrastructure to improve reliability, efficiency, and security posture Required qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field 15+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience, including 8+ years with AWS Deep understanding of cloud technologies and experience with orchestration and automation tools Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code Strong analytical skills and experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and Splunk
