Job Summary (AWS Cloud Data Architect)
- Design & Implement Cloud Data Architectures: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient data platforms on AWS, including migrations from on‑premise to cloud.
- Data Modeling & Management: Develop logical and physical data models, database schemas, and storage strategies for both structured and unstructured data; optimize for performance and reliability.
- Business Intelligence Enablement: Support analytics initiatives by enabling self‑service BI through curated, governed datasets and semantic layers.
- Data Governance: Partner with data domain owners to establish data governance, quality, and sharing policies.
- Pipeline & Integration: Design and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and enrichment using modern ETL/ELT tools and cloud‑native services.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor engineers and analysts; drive architectural innovation and best practices in data management and cloud technologies.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, and continuously enhance data platform capabilities.
- Industry Focus: Role requires experience in pharma, biotech, healthcare, or consulting for these industries, especially in regulated environments.
- Key Technologies: AWS (S3, Glue, serverless data components), SQL/NoSQL, Snowflake, Apache Parquet, ETL/ELT tools (DBT, SnapLogic), semantic data models, AI/ML data pipelines.
Note
Requires 5+ years of relevant experience, hands‑on AWS expertise, and proven leadership in cloud modernization. Preferred qualifications include AWS certification, experience with Innovator, regulated environments, and strong communication skills.
