AWS Architect (AWS Cloud SRE with Qualys Patching Config)

Responsibilities

  • Configure and implement Qualys Patch Management module for AWS EC2 environment.
  • Design and execute tag‑based patching strategy (environment, OS, criticality, patch window).
  • Set up patch baselines, patch jobs, reboot strategy, and exception handling workflow.
  • Ensure agent compliance, asset onboarding, and patch readiness across servers.
  • Drive non‑prod and prod rollout with validation and compliance tracking.
  • Enable Vulnerability (VIT) remediation through integrated patching workflow.
  • Resolve OS‑level issues for Linux and Windows.
  • Monitor and maintain agent compliance.
  • Provide incident and problem management support.
  • Collaborate with platform and operations teams for stability, reliability, and automation.
  • Design, build, and troubleshoot Terraform modules.
  • Create reusable Terraform modules and manage infrastructure lifecycle (provision → modify → destroy).
  • Integrate IaC pipelines with CI/CD processes.
  • Operate and manage EKS clusters: cluster setup, node groups, scaling.
  • Manage workload optimization and resource allocation.
  • Maintain Linux (RHEL / Amazon Linux) and Windows administration.
  • Perform system troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Handle OS‑level issues, server failures, disk and volume problems.
  • Align cross‑functional teams (CXO/Cloud Business Office/App teams/Platform teams) across multiple value streams.

Hands‑on Handling

  • OS‑level issues.

  • Drive alignment across multiple value streams.
  • Qualys Patching configuration experience.
  • AWS Cloud expertise mandatory.
  • Strong Terraform skills.
  • Participation in Well‑Architected framework.

Qualifications

Experience with AWS Cloud, Terraform, and EKS cluster operations. Proven ability to design, build, and troubleshoot infrastructure as code, ensure patch compliance, and maintain system stability.

Compensation

Salary Range: $95,000 – $120,000 per year.
