Location: Lexington, Kentucky (on-site)

Awesome Inc exists to help people pursue their definition of awesome by growing the tech and startup ecosystem in Central Kentucky. We support entrepreneurs, innovators, learners, and builders through community events, education programs, custom software solutions, and a collaborative workspace. Our work spans:

• Entrepreneurship support and accelerator programs
• Technical training and coding education for all ages
• Custom web/app development through our sister company, APAX Software
• Coworking and creative space fostering community and collaboration

1. Community & Events

• Planning and executing events that bring people together
• Building relationships with partners and entrepreneurs

2. Software & Technical Development

• Front-end or back-end development (web, mobile, tools)
• Technical delivery and team support
• Working on real-world coding projects with impact

3. Creative & Marketing

• Content creation (writing, video, social media, design)
• Storytelling to share our mission and spotlight community members
• Digital strategy to help grow awareness

4. Operations & Strategy

• Supporting internal operations that keep our work running smoothly
• Project coordination across teams and programs
• Helping develop systems and processes that scale

5. Education & Training

• Teaching and mentoring learners of all ages
• Designing curriculum and instructional materials
• Supporting learners through hands-on experiences

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3 years of directly relevant experience
• Able to regularly work weekends/non-traditional hours from a variety of Central KY locations

COMPETENCIES:

• Passionate about sharing all that Kentucky has to offer
• Comfortable with a minimal amount of direction but high expectations
• Able to build rapport with individuals from varying cultures, experiences, and backgrounds
• Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills
• Highly organized with ability to multitask, collaborate, problem solve, and meet deadlines
• Service minded individual who projects a positive and professional attitude in all interactions
• Strong Google Docs game (Sheets, docs, slides, etc)
• Comfortable with social media marketing and proficient with software such as Zoom, Slack, etc.
• Strong networker who is comfortable advocating
