This role serves as the organization's primary avionics subject matter expert (SME), supporting Maintenance, Operations, and Leadership in ensuring safe, reliable, and mission-ready aircraft availability.This individual will play a critical role in AOG recovery events, avionics system troubleshooting, upgrade planning, and long-term reliability strategy across the fleet.Key ResponsibilitiesFleet Avionics OversightMonitor and manage all avionics-related discrepancies across the fleetTrack recurring avionics issues and drive root-cause corrective actionsMaintain fleet-wide visibility of avionics reliability trendsEnsure consistency in troubleshooting and repair standards across locationsAOG Support & RecoveryAct as primary avionics escalation point during AOG eventsProvide real-time technical guidance to maintenance teams and vendorsCoordinate rapid troubleshooting and recovery strategies to minimize downtimeSupport remote diagnostics and on-site troubleshooting as requiredTechnical Authority & Decision SupportServe as avionics SME in maintenance and operations leadership meetingsProvide technical recommendations on deferred discrepancies, MEL decisions, and operational impactAdvise DOM and VP of Maintenance on avionics-related dispatch decisionsStandardize troubleshooting procedures across the organizationUpgrades & ModificationsEvaluate and coordinate avionics upgrades, service bulletins, and modificationsWork with OEMs and vendors on installation planning and executionEnsure upgrades align with operational needs, budget, and fleet strategySupport STC evaluations and integration planningVendor & OEM CoordinationLiaise with avionics manufacturers, repair stations, and field support teamsEvaluate vendor performance and technical effectivenessCoordinate warranty claims and technical support escalationEnsure vendors meet Jetvia operational expectations for responsiveness and qualityOperational IntegrationParticipate in daily & weekly Maintenance/Operations coordination meetingsAlign avionics reliability with dispatch and scheduling requirementsCommunicate aircraft status and risks to leadership in real timeSupport proactive maintenance planning to reduce operational disruptionDocumentation & ComplianceEnsure proper documentation of avionics repairs and modificationsSupport FAA compliance requirements related to avionics systemsMaintain accurate tracking of avionics-related logbook entries and compliance itemsQualificationsRequired:FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.Minimum of 5 years of Learjet 60 avionics experience.Minimum of 10 years of aviation maintenance experience.Demonstrated leadership and management experience, including the ability to mentor, develop, and train technical personnel.Extensive experience within corporate aviation and/or Part 135 and Part 145 maintenance environments.Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic background with turbine aircraft avionics systems.Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations, maintenance practices, and avionics Installation standards.Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and time-sensitive operational environment.Ability and willingness to travel as needed to support aircraft maintenance events, AOG recoveries, vendor visits, training, and operational requirements.Preferred:Proven experience with Collins Pro Line integrated avionics systems.How Jetvia Supports YouJetvia recognizes our team members as our greatest asset.
