Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together.Your MissionAs an Avionics Technician on the Production and Test team, you will play a vital role in the assembly, integration, and test of avionics systems and harnesses.

Collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, you will help bring cutting-edge avionics hardware from early development through flight readiness and production ramp.ResponsibilitiesAvionics Assembly: Build, install, and test avionics hardware including flight computers, sensors, RF components, power distribution units, and harnesses using engineering drawings, work instructions, and process documentation. This includes crimping, soldering, connector backshell assembly, and cable routing to meet fit, form, and workmanship standards.Harness Fabrication and Installation: Fabricate, inspect, and install wire harnesses and cable assemblies at required quality and standards, ensuring proper routing, strain relief, shielding, and continuity.System Integration: Work alongside engineering and quality teams to integrate avionics components and subsystems into spacecraft structures, supporting checkouts, functional tests, and troubleshooting to root cause.Testing and Validation: Conduct and support avionics testing including continuity, hi-pot, RF link, functional, and environmental testing. Operate GSE and automated test equipment to verify system performance.PCB Assembly and Repair: Assemble, inspect, and rework printed circuit board assemblies to required quality and standards, including component placement, soldering, and conformal coating.

Perform board-level troubleshooting and repair to support hardware turnaround and production flow.QualificationsTechnical degree or certification in avionics, electronics, or a relevant fieldYears of experience in assembly, integration, and test of aerospace avionics systems in line with technician levelProficiency in reading engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructionsExperience with ESD-sensitive, FOD-critical, and cleanroom operationsAbility to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary teamStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lift 25lbs and work in and around constrained and confined spacesPreferred SkillsIPC/WHMA-A-620 certificationExperience with spacecraft or launch vehicle avionics integrationFamiliarity with automated test equipment and GSE operationRF systems assembly and test experienceCompensation and BenefitsTechnician Level 1: $32-41/hrTechnician Level 2: $40-55/hrTechnician Level 3: $45-60/hrSenior Technician: $55-70/hrEquity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental LeaveYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.Additional RequirementsWork Location —Successful candidates will be located near Long Beach, CA.Work Environment —the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.Physical Demands —the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.
