Avionics SupervisorThe Avionics Supervisor will be responsible for the supervisory functions of the Avionics team, as well as performing installation & maintenance of avionics/electronics systems on general aviation/corporate aircraft.Essential Job Functions:Responsible to supervise, lead, and mentor the Avionics team by communicating direct areas of accountability and expected performance.Act as point of contact for interdepartmental communications and ensure day-to-day operations for the department are completed efficiently.Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshoot malfunctions of aircraft avionics and electrical systems components in accordance with MFG specifications and FAA guidelines.This job function includes support of the following avionics systems:Transponder/ADS-B/DMEWAAS GPS/FMSAirborne Navigation & Communication systemsWeather Radar/XM WeatherAutopilots & Compass systemsAudio distribution & integration systemsInflight ConnectivityThis position involves working with avionics equipment from the following OEMs:GarminCollins AerospaceHoneywellUniversal AvionicsStarlinkGogoThe FAA Part 145 CRS environment will involve supporting the following aircraft types:Textron (Cessna, Hawker, Beechcraft)PilatusBombardier (Learjet, Challenger)GulfstreamCirrusCommunicate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure effective scheduling and coordination of work between related departments; as well as taking prompt corrective action where necessary.Develop and maintain customer relationships by providing information relating to current work orders and other recommended avionics services available.Complete all checklists, forms and reports as required in accordance with the company, government, and FAA regulations and guidelines.Maintain adequate knowledge to understand and follow the repair facility's Inspection Procedures Manual.Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company team members, vendors, and customers.Responsible to follow and comply with all safety rules and regulations.Must be able to work hours as directed by your supervisor.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.Qualifications:Degree or certificate from an accredited two (2) year college, university or technical school in avionics maintenance or electronics required or equivalent experience8-10 years of experience with GA/Corporate aircraft; supervisory experienceKnowledge of aircraft component repairKnowledge of avionics, electronic and electrical test equipmentKnowledge of U.S. government regulations for federal contractors and FAA maintenance programsExcellent communication and customer service skillsA&P License a plusRepairman Certificate a plusFCC General Radiotelephone LicensePhysical Demands:Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing and pulling required.Frequent work in small spaces, extreme temperatures, and heights above six feet, noisy environments and flying.Frequent work with products, material and chemicals associated with aircraft maintenance.Ability to lift 50 lbs.EEO/AAP/Drug Free Workplace
