Avionics Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Avionics Manager to join our team at Butte Aviation, Inc. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate the work of our avionics technicians to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency. The Avionics Manager is responsible for overall avionics department operations including personnel management, technical and strategic planning, project planning, estimates, and technical oversight of avionics activities. Your attention to detail and strong leadership skills will be crucial in maintaining high standards and meeting our clients' needs. Butte Aviation, Inc. is a Certified Repair Station and an established Garmin Dealership. We are building a new Avionics Hangar that will be completed Spring 2027!

Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor the work of avionics technicians in the shop.
Assign tasks and set priorities to ensure timely completion of work.
Ensure that all work is performed to high standards and in compliance with safety regulations.
Conduct quality control checks and ensure that all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly documented.
Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on their projects.
Train and mentor new avionics technicians and provide ongoing coaching to existing staff.
Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute projects, including scheduling and resource allocation.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies, and implement changes as needed.
Contribute to a positive and engaging work environment that fosters teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.
May be required to fly on aircraft, position depended.
