Avionics Technician III (SAOC Program Boeing 747-8i Modifications)Location: Dayton, OHPosition Overview: SkyBridge Aviation is seeking experienced Avionics Technician III professionals to support advanced aerospace and defense programs. This role is responsible for performing avionics maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair in accordance with FCC, FAA, and company regulations. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of aircraft electrical and avionics systems.Key Responsibilities:Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems and componentsPerform wiring installation, routing, termination, and repairs per technical drawingsInterpret and work from schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical publicationsUtilize avionics tooling for soldering, crimping, and system integrationMaintain and calibrate test equipment, tools, and technical documentationEnsure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality standardsSupport inspection and maintenance activities on aircraft systems and equipmentRequired Experience and Qualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredTypically 5 or more years of avionics experience or related fieldStrong ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprintsAdvanced experience with avionics installation, wiring, soldering, and crimpingAbility to route wires and complete installations per engineering specificationsMust provide own tools in good working conditionPreferred Qualifications:FCC certification or familiarity with FCC GROLExperience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrometers, or pitot static systemsBackground in aerospace, defense, or military aviation environmentsAbility to obtain and maintain a United States Security Clearance if requiredPhysical Requirements:Frequently walking, standing, sitting, and climbing stairs or stepsRepetitive hand, arm, and finger movements requiring strong dexterityVisual acuity including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and color differentiationAbility to distinguish sounds and varying noise levelsOccasionally lift or carry up to 50 poundsWork Environment:Frequent exposure to outdoor elements including heat, cold, and weather conditionsExposure to fumes, hazardous materials, and loud noise environmentsSafety sensitive role involving aircraft systems, equipment, and hazardous materialsSchedule: Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 4:00 PMWhy SkyBridge Aviation:Competitive weekly pay with overtime opportunitiesContract to hire and long term opportunities availableBenefits available including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)Per diem offered for eligible candidatesDedicated recruiter support throughout the hiring processOpportunity to work on high visibility aerospace and defense programsThis is an opportunity to bring your avionics expertise to a mission critical environment while advancing your career in the aerospace and defense industry.
