Assembly And Test TechnicianAmca is building America's new industrial base. Since the 1990s, our ability to build new aviation and military systems and maintain the ones we already have has eroded. Today, the gap between what the nation needs to produce and what it is capable of producing is the largest it has been in generations.To help close that gap, Amca rapidly develops and manufactures new critical components and subsystems required to build and sustain the planes, military vehicles, and core infrastructure America needs.

Today, we operate seven factories nationwide, including our advanced prototyping and testing headquarters in El Segundo, and deliver avionics, hydraulic, and electrical components for platforms such as the F-35, F-16, F/A-18, 737MAX, 787, A320neo, A321, Mk-48, and M1 Abrams.OverviewThe Assembly & Test Technician role is responsible for the hands-on assembly and testing of aerospace components and subsystems in Amca's R&D shop. You will work directly alongside engineers to build and validate new hardware on its path to flight qualification, spanning a wide variety of products and processes. We are looking for someone with sharp hands-on technical instincts, a high standard for workmanship, and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesAssemble aerospace components and subsystems from engineering drawings, work orders, and specificationsOperate test equipment to validate and characterize hardware under developmentWork closely with engineering throughout build and test, communicating clearly and responding to feedback quicklyRead and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and tolerances including GD&TDocument assembly and test results accurately to support engineering iterationIdentify and communicate defects or anomalies to engineering promptlyAdapt to new products, processes, and test setups with a problem-solving mindsetStrong attention to detail and able to stay organizedAble to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervisionPositive attitude, reliable, and works well on a teamBasic Qualifications2+ years of hands-on experience in assembly or testing within an aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environmentAble to read and work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specificationsSkilled with mechanical hand toolsMust be a U.S.

person as defined by ITARPreferred Skills And Experience5+ years of hands-on experience in assembly or testing within an aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environmentExperience operating, programming, or setting up automated or semi-automated test equipmentExperience building and testing avionics, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or power electronics componentsExperience operating plastic injection molding equipment is a bonusFamiliarity with data acquisition systemsAdditional RequirementsMust be able to travel as needed in response to business needs with short noticeMust be able to work extended hours, including weekends, as needed to meet business needsThis position is based in El Segundo, CA and requires being on-siteHourly Pay Range $30 - $60 USDThis position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
