Aviation Systems Test Engineer 1We are seeking a full-time Aviation Systems Test Engineer 1 at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting successful conception, development, and/or application of sophisticated avionics systems by providing system testing support for basic aviation OEM programs with mature requirements, including documentation of testing completed and troubleshooting of basic integration bench setup issues.Essential Functions:Provides system testing support for OEM program(s) according to system test processes and guidancePerforms system regression testing for software loads according to system test processes and guidanceProvides clear documentation of testing completed, including observations of issues observed during testingTroubleshoots basic integration bench setup issues and clearly documents required fixesCommunicates status of work clearly providing visibility to supervisor or mentorLearns how to apply engineering tools relevant for performing the essential functions of this job descriptionWorks collaboratively and professionally in a team environment with Garmin associates to achieve goalsIdentifies and resolves defects of basic scope using proper engineering tools and techniquesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or another related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experienceExcellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) with the demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledgeDemonstrates working knowledge of avionics integrated functions and tools used for system testingMust demonstrate the capability to perform basic troubleshooting & debuggingDemonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsMust be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with othersDesired Qualifications:Previous work or internship experience with Garmin related productsPilot License (Aviation Only)Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
