We are seeking an AV Instructional Technology Technician to deliver operational and technical support for audiovisual systems across instructional spaces, conference rooms, and event venues. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and operating AV equipment, supporting live events, and providing direct technical assistance to end users.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day operational support and troubleshooting for AV and presentation technology in classrooms, meeting spaces, and event venues.
• Diagnose and repair hardware/software issues involving projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, cameras, control systems, and video conferencing setups.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, equipment testing, and inspections to maintain high system uptime.
• Complete minor hardware installations and replacements, including cabling, adapters, mounting brackets, displays, and projectors.
• Provide live audiovisual technical support for conferences, executive presentations, meetings, and special events.
• Document service requests, maintenance logs, repairs, and asset changes within the ticketing system.
• Assist and train end users on presentation systems, conferencing tools, and classroom equipment operation.
• Work flexible hours, including scheduled evenings and weekends as required for event coverage.

Required Qualifications
• Associate degree in Information Technology, Audiovisual Technology, Electronics, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
• 2+ years of experience supporting professional or enterprise audiovisual systems.
• Proven track record troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining AV hardware and control setups.
• Hands-on experience supporting live events, presentations, or video conferencing platforms.
• Experience utilizing an IT ticketing/help desk system for incident tracking.
• Physical ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and maneuver in tight installation spaces.
• Availability to work non-standard hours (evenings and weekends) for event operations.

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of AV support experience within an academic or large campus environment.
• AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification.
• Hands-on experience or certifications with enterprise AV platforms such as Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, or Biamp.
