Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with providing technical oversight of a project from conception through installation and completionAssist with the development of installation scheduleTest audio DSP or video processing systems software required for system functionalityProvide engineering support to project installation team when neededProvide technical oversight on commissioning of systems both in-house and on-siteMeet with current/prospective vendors to help evaluate productsProvide weekly project updates for clientsResponsible for monitoring project budgetDesign wall plates and overlaysTest integrated systems and perform troubleshooting when neededProvide engineering and control system programming support to project installation team when neededCoordinate with Project Manager to assist with securing the necessary personnel for installationSupport Project Manager in project hand-off to the installation team when neededProvide Project Manager documented test results from system testing and commissioningReview project designs created by internal and external resources and submit to CAD departmentAbility to travel to various job sites requiredOther duties assigned as neededSkills and AbilitiesCommunicate and interact with internal employees, clients and colleagues in a professional and timely mannerProven business writing skillsProficient with test and calibration equipmentSupport user acceptance testingAbility to program, change and troubleshoot (AMX/Crestron)Ability to diagnose complex system problemsAdvanced computer skills as required for the design, configuration, and operation of AV equipmentAbility to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlinesEffective communication and interaction with employees, clients and colleaguesEducation and/or ExperienceMinimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferredFormal education in Electronics or related field preferredMinimum 1-2 years of AV experience is preferredA four year degree or military experience may be considered in place of job experienceWorking EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
