Job Overview

Our AV Integration Engineers are the client‑facing Unified Communications ambassadors that own the knowledge share of our overall onsite solutions. They are also responsible for ensuring the successful deployment of the client’s selected solutions in their selected spaces. They think on their feet, quickly identify any roadblocks and provide potential solutions. They possess strong organizational, technical, interpersonal, and teaching skills, are well‑spoken, and can readily win the trust and confidence of our clients.

Required Experience

  • Hands‑on installation, integration, and programming of AV solutions such as Video Conferencing, Audio, Control and Automation Systems, Digital Signage, Cameras, Video Matrix Switchers/Scalers, Structured Cabling, and Microsoft Teams/Zoom setup, configuration, testing, and end‑user training.
  • Hands‑on experience with systems including Q‑SYS, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Sennheiser, Shure, etc.
  • Experience installing, integrating, and programming various low‑voltage system hardware.
  • Explicit knowledge of audio, video, control, and communications system integration and programming.
  • Solid job history working for a well‑established A/V contractor.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the AV field implementation.
  • Experience reviewing bid documents to evaluate and implement scopes of work.
  • Highly technical with the ability to evaluate situations using logical and decisive reasoning.
  • Experience working in teams and independently to complete commercial installation and service projects.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD).

AV Integration Experience

  • Hands‑on experience in installation, troubleshooting, and programming of numerous audio‑visual systems.
  • Explicit knowledge of audio, video, control, and communications system integration and programming.
  • Solid experience with low‑voltage system hardware.
  • Hands‑on experience with installation, integration, and programming of various low‑voltage system hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on‑site guidance and Unified Communications visibility for installation technicians of Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) systems.
  • Provide on‑site demonstrations of Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) systems and Zoom room to IT personnel, Executive Admins, and end‑users.
  • Provide real‑time troubleshooting of hardware and software issues relating to each Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) vendor and product interface.
  • Act as the Unified Communications on‑site representative and interface between installation technicians and the customer.
  • Install, configure, train, and share the excitement of our communications and collaboration products with customers, employees, and partners.
  • Show customers how to effectively use our products and services.
  • Be a sales engineer to the sales team as time allows.
  • Understand the needs and special requirements of large corporate customers and maintain a high level of diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Respond positively to customer needs; manage expectations and address requests or issues professionally and timely.
  • Drive project effectiveness, identify and implement changes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs, and communicate changes to team members.
  • Obtain and review all relevant contract documents, bid drawings, specifications, contract, project workbook, subcontractor scopes, and construction schedule.
  • Analyze and understand statements of work and project requirements to identify timeframes, assign resources, organize, and hold meetings to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Maintain high professionalism standards for technicians, contractors, and other workers.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding change orders, delivery, and on‑site visits.
  • Review project status daily to keep on schedule, identify early problem areas, and implement solutions.
  • Strive to deliver a consistent, high‑quality solution and customer experience.
  • Prepare project reports and attend review meetings for all projects and resources.
  • Escalate issues to management when necessary based on importance and urgency.
  • Use experience, manufacturer support, specialist knowledge, and training to investigate technical issues and provide solutions for ongoing faults and problems.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for continuous improvement of the products and services delivered.

  • Shure
  • CTS, CTS‑I, CTS‑D

Requirements

  • Extensive travel: most projects range from 2‑3 days, larger projects up to 1‑2 weeks.
  • Travel arrangements must be booked from a major international airport unless prior approval is obtained.
  • Weekly travel may begin with a Sunday afternoon/evening departure; return trips booked for Friday afternoon/evening, occasionally early Saturday morning.
  • Weekend availability may be required to meet client deadlines and project completion.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and other needed times.
  • Regularly inspect installation work performed by staff and/or subcontractors.
  • Ensure testing, certification, and proper performance of installed systems.
  • Coordinate and/or provide training to clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.
