Autosys Senior Engineer

Job Summary

The Autosys Senior Engineer will provide hands‑on administration and support for Autosys scheduling environments within AWS cloud and containerized infrastructure. The role will manage Autosys configuration, access and security, agents, upgrades, job scheduling, batch processing, monitoring, and troubleshooting. The engineer will also support Autosys deployments on AWS EC2 and Kubernetes/EKS environments and collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams on platform modernization, automation, reliability, and production support initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, support, and enhance Autosys job scheduling and batch processing environments
• Administer Autosys configuration, agents, platform components, and scheduler environments
• Create, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot scheduled jobs in production environments
• Define and maintain job dependencies, conditions, schedules, and workflow automation
• Support batch job cycles based on business and operational requirements
• Install and configure Autosys agents on AWS EC2 and Kubernetes/EKS environments
• Support and troubleshoot Autosys job execution within cloud-based and containerized environments
• Monitor system performance and maintain high availability of scheduled jobs
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution
• Support server upgrades, patching activities, and post‑maintenance validation
• Manage user access, security roles, and permission reviews in alignment with access management policies
• Work with development and operations teams to improve application reliability and performance
• Support deployment processes and contribute to CI/CD and release automation improvements
• Support monitoring, incident management, system reliability, and performance tuning activities
• Participate in on‑call support and production issue resolution as required
• Collaborate with infrastructure, development, operations, and business teams on cloud‑based infrastructure initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong hands‑on experience in Autosys administration
• Strong experience administering and managing Autosys environments, including configuration, access/security, agents, upgrades, and platform troubleshooting
• Experience creating, managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting scheduled jobs in production environments
• Strong understanding of job dependencies, batch cycles, workflow automation, and production support
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments for supporting and troubleshooting Autosys job execution
• Solid experience with AWS cloud platform
• Experience installing and configuring Autosys agents on AWS EC2 or Kubernetes/EKS
• Knowledge of automation, monitoring, incident management, system reliability, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps/SRE practices
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with development, operations, infrastructure, and business teams
