Description

Autopsy Pathologist – Full‑time non‑tenure track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, Emory University School of Medicine.

Provide autopsy coverage and serve as Director of the Autopsy Service at Emory University Hospital and Emory University Hospital Midtown. Annual autopsy volume is approximately 150 cases, including a wide variety of adult and pediatric cases, offering ample opportunities for clinical and translational scholarship and teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Provide autopsy coverage and lead the Autopsy Service.
  • Perform autopsies on a diverse range of adult and pediatric cases.
  • Collaborate with the AP/CP residency program, accredited subspecialty fellowships, and the NCI‑designated Winship Cancer Center.

Qualifications

  • MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree with board eligibility or certification in Anatomic Pathology.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Georgia.
  • Additional fellowship training or expertise in a surgical pathology subspecialty (e.g., perinatal, cardiothoracic) is desirable.
  • Compensation and faculty rank commensurate with qualifications.
