Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join their automotive product liability and warranty litigation practice in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience, be highly motivated, and possess excellent writing skills. They should be capable of acting independently throughout the discovery process and assisting in trial.
Duties
- Take depositions, argue motions, and attend court hearings and mediations.
- Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
- Conduct complex legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda.
- Prepare status reports and recommendations for clients.
- Review document collections in preparation for litigation.
- Manage all aspects of litigation from initial pleading through trial.
Requirements
- Admitted to the CA bar.
- Experience with discovery and law and motion.
- Familiarity with California Lemon Law, including the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
- State and federal court experience.
- Excellent academic credentials and work history.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
