Job TitleQualified applicants must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. Prior title experience is highly encouraged and preferred.ResponsibilitiesProcesses all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titledPrepares tax and title documentsSubmits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor VehiclesVerifies that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applicationsChecks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is completePrepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-insBills out all dealer trades and prepares Certificates of OriginMaintains a system to verify out-of-state titlesCompiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title workReports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles and provides a current list of outstanding titles to the comptroller at the end of monthSigns over titles for all wholesalers who have paid in fullPrepares a monthly report to management of any funds not collected from wholesalers due to missing or incomplete title workPrepares stock cards for new and used vehiclesPosts vehicle sales and purchasesProcesses/registers all vehicle warranties and extended service contracts, maintaining a log of all contracts processed and mailedProcesses yearly renewal of dealer tags in conjunction with comptrollerStays abreast of title regulationsAttends seminars held by local licensing bureaus and any available training on title regulationsCross-trains others to handle title clerk daily responsibilitiesConducts periodic training sessions for F&I managers and sales personnel regarding title regulations and procedures and issues a written memo to managers and all sales personnel whenever regulations changeDirects title runner in daily routinesMaintains a professional appearance and a neat work areaOther tasks as assignedBenefitsMedical, Dental, and Other Supplemental Insurance CoveragePaid Leave TimeGrowth opportunityRoom for advancement!
