Grote Automotive Service is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician in Fort Wayne, IN. This opportunity offers flat-rate pay of $25–$45 per flagged hour, with top performers earning $100,000–$115,000+ annually based on production. Technicians work on all makes and models, from routine maintenance through major repairs and diagnostics. The shop offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends, benefits, ongoing training, and a customer- and employee-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair vehicles across a wide range of automotive systems
• Perform repairs on all makes and models
• Complete thorough and accurate Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs)
• Diagnose vehicle concerns and carry repairs through completion based on your skill level
• Identify needed repairs and maintenance opportunities through comprehensive inspections
• Handle work ranging from routine maintenance to major repairs
• Work efficiently in a production-focused flat-rate environment
• Communicate and collaborate with the service team to keep vehicles moving through the shop

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of automotive repair experience
• Experience servicing and repairing multiple makes and models
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
• Diagnostic ability appropriate to your experience level
• Advanced diagnostic skills for technicians performing A-Level work
• Experience completing Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs)
• Ability to work independently and efficiently while contributing to a team
• ASE certifications are a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Flat-rate pay: $25–$45 per flagged hour, based on skills and experience.

Top-performing technicians can earn $100,000–$115,000+ annually. Actual earnings are based on individual production and are not guaranteed.
