Among other investments, EAH has recently completed a significant facility expansion at its primary distribution center and is in the process of implementing enterprise-level ERP / WMS / OMS systems.Position DescriptionPlaying a key role in our product development process, the Automotive Technical Writer first and foremost communicates the "how to" regarding our products' function and installation. Our ideal candidate for this position will possess a positive attitude, strong automotive/mechanical and writing skills, and a passion to positively impact change within the organization.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills is an absolute must-have, along with a proven ability to follow instructions, work in a team environment, and successfully resolve issues with a positive, upbeat attitude, as well as to organize and prioritize work, as well as organize and manage large-scale projects. This is a full-time opportunity within our Wadsworth, Ohio facility.ResponsibilitiesInstall, test fit, and validate new and existing parts in terms of quality, functionality, and performanceWork closely with engineering and product teams to ensure we are developing the best products possibleWrite customer-facing installation instructions in a way which speaks to readers of any skill levelWrite in-house assembly, inspection, and packaging documentationAssist in the coordination of sourcing, pickup, drop off, and delivery of customer vehiclesMaintain cleanliness of shop and R&D facilitiesRequirementsAttention to detail with the constant pursuit of raising the bar2+ years experience in general automotive repair and maintenanceIntimate, hands-on understanding of steering, suspension, braking, exhaust, turbo/supercharger, engine, and drivetrainStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven track record of owning and managing many projects simultaneouslySelf-motivated team player, with the ability to identify tasks without supervisionWillingness to seek guidance when neededMust have clean driving recordAbility to operate a manual transmissionHigh School DiplomaPreferred QualificationsIn depth European automotive knowledge (BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, MINI, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz)3+ years' experience in engine management diagnosis / repair2+ years' experience in automotive control modules, electrical systems, and wiringSuccessful completion of an automotive technician education (ASE, UTI, UNOH, etc.)Experience with AP English language and compositionHands-on experience with DSLR camera and related equipmentHands-on experience with Adobe, Office, Solidworks suitesCharismatic personality that is comfortable explaining and performing repairs in front of a virtual audience including being on camera for video projects.What Success Looks LikeAbility to complete installations and other tasks on time with minimal in-process guidanceExcellent communication with the engineering team and project coordinators to improve designs and overall customer experience with our productsExcellent communication with cross-functional teams across the organizationCreation of easy to understand, useful installation instruction documents along our product development processAbility to lead with a strong interest in positively impacting changeUpbeat and positive attitude, ability to thrive in a fast paced, high sense of urgency environmentAbility to consistently maintain a positive attitudeExcellent problem-solving ability with a bias for actionPlease include salary expectations along with your job application.
